How Do I Safely Store Plastic Jerry Cans? 

If used for chemical liquids, store upright in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, heat, and ignition sources such as pilot lights, sparks, and flames. Keep the container tightly sealed to prevent leaks and spills. If the container is not full, leave some room for expansion. 

Store the container out of reach of children and pets. Regularly check the container for leaks and damage. If you notice any damage or leaks, replace the container immediately. 

How Long Can I Store Liquids in a Plastic Jerry Can?

Our jerry cans are food-safe and chemical-proof. For liquids like water, you can generally store them forever in a sealed jerry can. Liquids like petrol have a one-year shelf life when sealed and sheltered. After breaking the seal, it lasts six months at 20°C or three months at 30°C.  

The storage duration for liquids in a plastic jerry can vary based on the liquid. Remember to label contents and storage dates for easier identification and stock-taking. 

Can I Reuse My Jerry Can? 

You may only reuse your plastic jerry can for the same type of liquid it originally contained.
